Now that Pesach and Mimouna have ended, it’s time for the joyful task of thanking everyone who made Chubeza’s Pesach “Open Day” such a great, delightful success.
Truthfully, when we reached our muddy field early Monday morning after a wet, rainy night, we faced a major dilemma. Should we postpone the Open Day? Cancel it? If not, how could we manage? But amazingly, as the hours passed and the sun came out, the ground dried up, taking our worries away! A gentle, loving spring sunshine warmed the day. Even the long-awaited field tours carried on as usual—without mud or mishaps, only great joy and amazement. As always.
We had a great time hosting you, seeing familiar and new faces, chatting, snacking, playing, creating, touring, harvesting, and bouncing on the tractor, while basking in a beautiful spring day during the Festival of Spring.
A huge thank you to the incredible Chubeza team for all the preparations—setting up the canopy, leveling the ground, providing cold water, harvesting vegetables, and so much more.
We are truly grateful to our dedicated Thai workers, who may not always be in the spotlight but are the driving force behind the hard work in the fields. We take this opportunity to praise and thank them!
Huge thanks as well to our hearty group of regular volunteers who come every week or two to help with packing and filling your orders: Ruti, Yossi, Itzik, Alon, Melissa, and Hanna. Although they weren’t with us at Open Day, they are a greatly appreciated permanent fixture of our daily routine. What a privilege to have them!
A hearty, heartfelt thank you to our diligent, dedicated delivery drivers who ensure your vegetables arrive safely at your homes, navigating traffic, scooters, stairs to fourth-floor apartments (why do so many Chubeza customers live on the top floor?!), and making friends with pets—while remaining ever warm, patient and dedicated, through heatwaves, showers, and everything in between.
A very great, heartfelt thank you to three individuals who have become a vital part of Chubeza over the past few years, providing invaluable help at the packing house—Einat, Asaf, and Talia. We are very, very grateful!
Most importantly, thank you for coming, for bringing joy, and for sharing the celebration. Thank you for joining us despite concerns for mud and canceled tours—and for walking this journey together, sometimes for years, with trust, appreciation, and support.
As we bask in the joy, blooming, and beauty of spring, we constantly hope and pray for the speedy end of war and the safe return home of all the hostages. May the seasons’ cycles continue in peace, bringing joy, health, growth, and tranquility to all!
Alon and Bat-Ami, on behalf of the entire Chubeza team
