THANK YOU!!

By what do we endure?
We have soil and it is slipping, and yet
We have beauty and it fades, and yet
We have skin and it is transparent
We have a body and it is air
We have love, a river of dismay, a bay of pain.
By what do we endure?
We have a moment and it is fleeting, and yet
We have a memory and it is forgotten, and yet
We have life, and language, and death
A gaze, momentary, then The Wasteland
We have small hints and a big question, and yet
And yet, and yet.
We endure
By the air of the morning, we endure
The infant morning will bring a smile to our faces.
