This week I’m a little under the weather and thus taking it easy. Yet, due to the heightened expressions of wonder and questions coming my way, I have decided to repeat a post focusing on the marvels of the cucumber and fakus. These two guys are bountiful and plenty this season, and you will receive a large quantity of one of the two this week. So, please, get to know and love them a bit better with this close-up look at two very special veggies:

Wednesday: beets, squash, cucumbers or fakus, Swiss chard, tomatoes, scallions, parsley, green beans, corn, potatoes, melon or eggplant. In the large box, in addition: leeks, lettuce, cilantro.
